Login to the NHS App on your smartphone or via your web browser using the NHS App weblink.
You will be able to sign in using Face ID or your NHS Login credentials.
2. Main Menu
Select ‘Appointments’ on the toolbar at the bottom of the main screen.
3. GP surgery appointments
Select ‘GP surgery appointments’
4. Find the appointment
Here you will see a list of your appointments with your GP surgery. This page will show past and upcoming appointments.
Find the appointment you would like to cancel under the Upcoming appointment section and click ‘cancel this appointment’.
To avoid cancelling the wrong appointment, it is important you click ‘cancel this appointment’ under the correct appointment.
5. Confirm cancellation
You must then confirm the cancellation by clicking ‘cancel appointment’.
You can also leave a reason for cancelling by clicking and selecting from the dropdown list under ‘reason for cancelling’
6. Confirmation
If successful, you will see the cancellation confirmation screen reading ‘Your GP appointment has been cancelled’
